The Old Folks Home

Happy Easter Everyone!

Very busy past couple of days here with garden prep, planting, lawn mowing etc etc etc.

@maddysmamaw so good to see you again, and Maddy! She is such a beautiful young lady!

Ahhh those preteen/teen years. No kids to experience them with but I swear our 5 cattle dogs went through them on steroids. No isolation and constant Youtube.....just moodiness, beating up on one another and demanding of Mom and Dad's time. I swear they tried to see how many of them could fit on our laps at the same time and then growled and snapped at one another when a prime spot was already occupied.

They have finally grown out of it...to a point. But we were glad to see that phase of their development behind us.

@perchie.girl, glad to hear that you are making progress on the house. Just think of how great it will be to have it finished.

Got word yesterday that our old home town back in IL has it's first Covid-19 case. They were thinking that they would be spared. I don't think any town is going to be 100% spared. If they don't have cases, they know somebody in a town that has had cases.

No big plans for today here. We are on stay at home lock down here. We need to venture out for feed this week but that is a permitted activity. Roast of pork as we don't eat ham, Mashed potatoes, gravy and a veggie.

Everybody have a great day, remember to count your blessings and most of all STAY HEALTHY!

A friend just sent me this. I think we can all relate!

Surviving Lock Down

Day 1 - I can do this! Got enough food and wine to last a month.

Day 2 - Opening 8th bottle of wine - I fear wine supply may not last!

Day 3 - Strawberries ... some have 210 seeds, some 235 seeds ... who knew?

Day 4 - 8PM - removed day pajamas and put on night pajamas.

Day 5 - Tried to make hand sanitizer - it came out as Jello shots.

Day 6 - I get to take the garbage out - I'm so excited, I don't know what to wear!

Day 7 - Laughing way too much at my own jokes.

Day 8 - Went to a new restaurant, "The Kitchen". You have to gather all ingredients and make your own meal. I have no clue how this place is still in business.

Day 9 - I put liquor bottles in every room. Tonight I'm getting dressed up to go bar hopping!

Day 10 - Struck up a conversation with a spider today - seems nice - he's a web designer.

Day 11 - Isolation is hard. I swear my fridge just said, "What the hell do you want now?"

Day 12 - I realized why my dogs get so excited about something moving outside, going for walks or car rides - I think I just barked at a squirrel.

Day 13 - If you keep a glass of wine in each hand, you can't accidentally touch your face.

Day 14 - Watched the birds fight over a worm. Cardinals lead the Bluejays, 3-1.

Day 15 - Anybody else feel like they've cooked dinner about 365 times this month?
