I have been outside working on enlarging the brooder. 70s and hot in the sun. Leaves are not full out yet, so not optimal shade.

This is as close as I could come to what I was looking for....concerning your temps being sunny and in the 70s, Cap

Just joking of course. Our day is coming. Still it's 38 with a wind chill of 32 here. Freakin weather. I hate it! The sun did manage to come out about an hour ago which is some consolation but tonight is supposed to be 31 and then up to almost 60 tomorrow. I have plants that are more than ready to be planted outside right now. Hoping for Sunday when the temps are up. The night time ground temps will still be low but I figure if I cover them and straw around them they will be alright.

It's supposed to be at least 10° cooler tomorrow, if that makes you feel any better! Or you could just move to VA...

Have many plants in the ground already but our weather patterns say
I am pretty safe .. We rarely see freeze or quite cold this late in the year.. I know growing season most everything is done come early October ...
