The Old Folks Home

Dh gave up on growing anything in the garden, at this time. We have a bumper crop of rabbits. Every sprout, every shoot, they decimated. Now, he's revamping the irrigation system on it, and will put in a bit of fencing to protect it when we plant later on.
Yeah, fencing around here needs to be tall as well, since the deer were jumping in and eating all my bean plants.

We have three rescued barn cats. I’ve never seen them go after an adult rabbit but there haven’t been many days this spring that one or both of the two males don ‘t have a rabbit snack. By emptying the nests, they keep the number of adults low.
They would keep it lower still if the neighbors on both sides with dogs would teach their dogs to chase the rabbits so much as they chase my cats!
I have an elevated garden and DH uses a fence around his tomatoes to keep chickens and the few adult rabbits out. Deer aren’t a problem due to said neighbors dogs.
Heading out to unload the sand I got for the meaties arriving next week.
Enjoying the...sunshine, lollipops, and rainbows...:D :old

If you can't grow a garden, maybe you can make a bunch or Rabbit stew
