The Old Folks Home

Good evening old folk! I'm tired. Wood hauling this morning, intermittent garden work, took some time to fish, started cleaning the back yard and suggested that instead of feeding the cattle dogs and letting them out to do their business, we just take the food and dump it in the back yard and cut out that nasty digestive thing.:sick 5 bags of straw and poo later (spring cleaning) and still more to rake up, I quit and went back to garden work.

We usually have a surplus of rabbits, but not this year. They coyotes and hawks have kept the population down. I haven't seen a one this spring but DH said that he has seen one in the front yard.

I put 'snow fence' that I have cut in half around the garden just in case. So far nothing is eaten...just missing seed and I cannot blame the rabbits on that. Spot came prancing up to me today to show me the huge vole she dug out. Who's the good dog! She got some ice cream tonight as an award. Buck, who supervised, got an egg. Every job needs a supervisor!

If any of you have any extra rain you don't need...send it to Missouri! I'm getting tired of watering the garden!

That was funny. I looked at that picture, and my still-sleepy brain went, "wait a minute. That's a . . . . Oh, right. Wales - of course it is!" :gig

Didja know that rabbits aren't native there, either? But, great picture!:)
