Or build one. That is probably the problem with my feeder, @cmom. The sides are only about an inch or so.
I'm going to have to look and see if I can get a feeder pan with higher sides for it or look for a new feeder.

I was thinking the same thing. Tin siding take the edge and fold it over and glue it down so there are no sharp pointy points. Now you can Choose the height and glue it on to the Feeder base pan. There is a way to do a self rivet.Or build one.
It is good that you found flour!I tried that one, Penny. They had all the feed on the ground. My birds are scoopers. I've watched the hens in particular use their beaks like little hoes in the feed.
It looks like they are using my bucket and pvc feeder. I have little feeders scattered about so nobody gets bullied out of the food/feeder so they aren't hurting for food. Pampered little heathens that they are.
That farmer who had his HUGE flock of birds gassed had sold them to a pet food company. I can't help but wonder how much he got apiece for them, even at a dollar apiece that was 64,000$ Look at the man's investment. He was in the red, that's for sure. And I agree....so sad.
@CapricornFarm, I love your flag. Looks like a continuation of the flowers beneath it. And the Iris! I love that color. Mine are just getting ready to bloom. I have to cover them tomorrow night as they are calling for frost...like life isn't difficult enough at the moment.
I look at King Arthur Flour earlier today and they are temporarily out of stock on everything. Drats! BUT I did score 20 pounds of flour and a bunch of other stuff at Walmart.com. Between them, Amazon and the local C&R we just make it through this without running out of food!
That Iris has a story. I gave a plant start from it to a friend in TN. When I moved, I left all my plants behind. When I got settled here, she sent me a starter rhizome from my original iris! So I have it back, even though I left it behind! I will try to remember to send you one when i divide it.I tried that one, Penny. They had all the feed on the ground. My birds are scoopers.
