Yesterday, I put the chicks I got from Alabama, out in one of the bachelor pads. I checked on them several times throughout the day, and they were fine. I checked on them just before the sun went down. It rained last night, so I let them be. This morning, they are doing just fine. They seem very happy.
I had moved my noisiest rooster into the bachelor pad next to them. I knew he would sound the alarm, if anything was out of the ordinary during the night. All was well. No crowing until 5:30 this morning, which is normal time for them.
The lone duckling is going into a bigger tote today. It's grown quite a bit, since the day it arrived. It's feathers are starting to come in nicely. I've been looking into stock tanks, and filtration systems, vs a kiddie pool, and thinking about what section of real estate to give it in the coop.
