Hornworms in the tomatoes!!! :barnie
DH has gone to do battle.
Me: if you spray them, DON’T give them to the chickens!!
They show up really well at night with a blacklight.

I put him in my broody buster cage. I'm out of places to put him and he isn't wanting to play nice with the other male in his clutch.

Now what am I going to do with the two broodies I need to bust?
Put them in the buster after you eat the squab.

My DW is very happy that she retired from teaching!
I bet. I can only imagine the number of teachers who are considering retiring or quitting based on how their districts plan to reopen. Apparently some aren't planning to do much to keep the teachers or students safe.

He also got me 2 more 6 Tb Western Digital SATA Hard Drives (I already have 1)
What the heck does one do with 18 Terabytes of storage??

I am working remotely so can't take a nap! I am supposed to respond to emails within 10 minutes.
Hard to get much done when you have to check email every few seconds.

Great News, DD! Glad everything went well and came back negative. Hopefully your stress level went down considerably.

Our weather for today will be challenging to say the least:

"Today’s heat index values will be between 100-110, with heat indices up to 105 on Sunday. "

I'll be spending the day inside for the most part in the AC....where it's cool.
I went to the swap today, never had a minute of sleep last night. Got up at 5:30, my friend came by near 7 am and off we went. I had thought to bring a tarp from home to hang off the canopy for shade, sure glad I did. By about 11:00 we were wilting in the heat and the birds were panting. So we called it a day. My friend was happy, she bought four peachicks and three guineas. I had pretty good sales and got a crazy cheap incubator!

Good news there, Diva. Must be a relief!

Saw getaclue's post and had to read a ways to realize that a SSD was not some kind of dog. Mea culpa. I am definitely not as tech-savvy as most here.

Monsoon season is trying to work its magic here. What's noticeable is the high humidity. We had a nice shower last night, so the weeds are easy to pull today. I enjoy weeding about as much as I do housework. (bleh) But I realize it's a necessary evil if I am to harvest veggies and not go on an expedition hunt for them. It's a love/hate relationship with the veggie compound. All the varminting this year was really discouraging. BUT things are starting to sprout and grow (again), so in about a month I hope to be a happy camper with the greening out there.

I planted three different kinds of kohlrabi and the Purple Viennese and White Viennese bulbed up and did their proper thing. The third is supposedly a giant bulbing type, but all we've seen is mounds of greenery (which is edible, thankfully.) All that has been harvested lately is lots and lots of greens...and will be for a while.

The chickens are doing great. I'm thinking of branching out and adding some Dampierre to the mix. Something about French breeds appeal to me and I'm a sucker for splashes.

That's about all that's new here. Just trying to stay healthy, which will be easy as our Gov is rescinding our Covid privileges. I feel like being grounded is on the horizon again. We are mandatory masks (even when exercising), no indoor dining, and visitors to our state must quarantine for 14 days and not visit our State parks. Thank goodness for streaming TV!

Has anybody discovered their nap quotient has gone up during this time of Covid?
It's the stress!

What a cool grandma guess my talents went by the wayside don't take a room to house em no hammer required :frow

Atari river raid comadore 64 Dos was my thing back then
River raid was prob my absolute favorite.
Well after I bought the Nintendo 64 new my grandma picked up a Atari and bunch of games, gave it to me, couple decades ago now. Hooked it up and played awhile.... I'll say it was not reminiscing like I thought it would be, was pretty depressing. All I could think was how awesome the Atari was when I was a kid, we must have had really good imaginations back then cause it really sucked 😆 😆 😆
