Adorable Penny. I swear those Silkies are the most 'alien' looking little birds. We have a friend who ordered buff O bantams from Cackle and got bantam Silkies by accident said that every time he picks them up he is sure he's picking up a little mammal due to their soft hair like down.

He wanted me to take a few and I would have if not for my OEGBs. One good peck and that's all she wrote, especially the hens. They are really bad about pecking one another on the head if one gets out of line or forgets it's place in the pecking order.

So Purslane is Portulaca? Guess I'm going to have to grow some of that next season. Bit late now for it here.

I did start the two of us on Elderberry extract. I figure we need all the help we can get.

We take elderberry, too. Good stuff, especially during flu season.

I took gabapentin once and it made me swell up like the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man (from Ghostbusters). 😳
It helps with my DW's nerve issues and headache. She does not seem to swell up from it

Not laughing because you had a pronounced side effect. Just the mental image of the Stay Puff man feeding chickens made me snarf iced tea.

I take it for nerve pain in my legs. A left over from shingles and now lower back problems. If I take it during the day it does weird things to my vision and balance so I just take it at night.
