I made Dh turn the generator on while the power was out. He balked, but turned it on. Now I know what I can expect from it in an actual emergency. We've never done an actual dry run, just using it as the only power source.

Glad you tested it. The middle of a hurricane isn't the time you want to find out something isn't working right.

The moment I cross our driveway gate, I am ripping those puppies off and tossing them.

Why do you wait until you get to your driveway? I take my mask off as soon as I get in my car.

Alaska though... easy to crack down! And wow! Getting back home tomorrow is going to be interesting.

Did anyone ever take humira and have to stop taking it because of aggression,mental changes or it affected the lungs?

DW has been taking Humira for several years (Enbrel before that). No side effects thankfully.

The mouth guard forces my lower jaw WAY further forward than usual, so when I clench at night I am stressing/working out a completely new jaw area... that helps the over used jaw spot to rest.

And is a solution for sleep apnea

Except that unless your fever is quite high you shouldn't try to keep it down. That is your body's way of killing the virus.

I called my Dr's office and they said that they will still keep my surgery date.

I will have to take the test next week before surgery.

DH had his blood pressure taken; I did not, for some reason.

My old dentist's office didn't do BP tests, new one does. The hygienist said that lots of people go to the dentist once or twice a year but don't go to the doctor's and the BP test at the dentist is when they find out theirs is high.

The goats are having issues, well two of them. Windy is tilting her head, I think she has goat polio. And Misty looks bloated. So I went to TSC and got what I needed. Misty is doing a bit better tonight, and Windy is about the same. I couldn't believe Windy only weighs 9 pounds. Misty weighs 20!

Heard that there was a big funeral nearby and prople went to it from every county around us. Yep you guessed it. Somebody had Covid and nobody was wearing a mask. So mine go on the minute I leave our property and stay on until I get back on our property. The closest I come to any 'outsider' unmasked is when the UPS guy hands me a package over our gate and then I make sure to stretch out my arm as far as I can and so does he. You never know when somebody is going to walk up to you and cough or sneeze on you.

Why me? Have the Chinese Flu? No sir ree Bob, not me...cough....cough. I look flushed? Am I runnin a temp? Could be. I feel a tech warm...cough cough.

She is tough. She went out in the pasture today to eat, but Misty stayed in the goat house all day. She couldn't keep her balance. I picked a lot of leaves for her. Idk if she ate them. I gave her bloat meds and a little ginger ale.

stupidly I felt forced to go to a family wedding, and there was so much family drama that I skipped the wedding..

It was a huge pile of poo... And a huge waste of money ...

I am super glad to be home... but my mom, for some reason completely beyond my ken, decided to come up to Alaska with me.



No idea what is going on in her head... and not as if I will any time soon... since she and my baby sis (instigator of said steaming pile), have decided to NOT talk to me about why they are upset... since, as I have been told by an intermediary, I get too worked up when they talk to me.

So...

And then even after I clearly explained to my mom that she sure as criminy better quarantine, following the document from the state of Alaska that she agreed to and signed .... she broke quarantine.



So yeah, baby sis and mom are probably right, I DO tend to get overly worked up when I talk to them.

Just keep telling yourself Al that you can pick your friends, you can even pick your enemies but you are stuck with your family.

Which is why I live 5 hours from mine and DH's is even farther away.

But as far as the quarantine is concerned, stand your ground. Your health depends on it. Family or not it is your home and your home your rules. And there are always hotels.
