The Old Folks Home

Good morning!

Hit the veggie compound early, but still got a little sweaty during watering and some light harvesting of green beans, melon, tomatoes and baby squash.

There's one rabbit in the compound that is named Pierre. He entered as a teeny baby (chased through the fence inadvertently) and I left him inside thinking he'd not survive. But he has! I thought maybe the troupe of bobcats that marched through the other day would've found him, but he was there this morning meandering away from my hose. He's pretty harmless to the crops as he nibbles on what hangs over the raised beds and is pretty much content to nosh on the weedy grasses in the far corner.

Chicka- so glad you and yours are gradually improving! Keep up your sunny side! You are so upbeat it's an encouragement to everyone who reads your posts! The covid-19 is no respector of persons, neither age, race, Fame, or wealth is a prediction of who will fall ill. We have to do our part to stay healthy but ultimately God makes the plans! My 50 yr cousin went in the hospital last night with breathing problems, otherwise healthy. Life fled before her family got to the hospital.
A correction, turns out she had pneumonia and blood clots on her lungs but tests came back negative for covid-19. She is horse and buggy Mennonite and they put their faith in God, do not wear masks unless they absolutely have to. The funeral will be large with people coming from many states. I have 150 cousins on Dad's side of the family. I haven't been going to large gatherings and I wear a mask. My mask would protect them from me but what will protect me? I won't go to the funeral or viewing but my sister is traveling from Kentucky and wants me to join the family on Sunday. I have 8 brothers and sisters, don't know who all will be there. I don't expect anyone else to wear a mask. My sister is making a 2 day trip, the rest of the time she will be at her husbands side of the family. Another thing, the one room school houses are open and I haven't heard how they are faring with staying safe from the virus. There will be children at my family get together. I have crohns disease, kidney disease and bipolar. My medications affected my bone marrow and I couldn't make blood cells anymore. So I'm living on God's good Grace without meds for the past year. The Drs are doing what they can to keep me off meds. My husband has severe crohns disease.
Question, would you disappoint the family and stay home or would you go and meet them?

I believe I would send my regards and stay home or the family could be attending another funeral. Jmo. And I'm a non masker.

I would see my siblings, but only if they would meet outside someplace and stay 6 feet or more away from me.

I would avoid all of the big gathering things.
