The Old Folks Home

My glasses somehow fell off the dresser last night....

Could NOT find them this morning.

Had to call a kid to figure out where they had gone (fell down and bounced or got kicked outside of my "patting all over" zone)

Sheesh... times like these... super appreciate sighted kids living at home. :old

Alaskan, need your advice and support. My son is bringing his' fee -on -say 'in with him when he comes this week. :th. They will be staying at a hotel - he doesn't want her to see the hovel I am living in. Hey, it's paid off. Probably doesn't want her to see me either.

She is a sharp dresser. I live in tops and jeans (nice ones -skinny legs etc) and if I have to say so myself, I really rock that look. Hopefully they will have the wedding in their state and I can just send a nice wedding gift.

I am not a fan of large gatherings (anything over 3 people) or ceremonies. even long before covid raised it's ugly head. Didn't you get sucked into attending a wedding/ or major ceremony??? How did you handle it?

Basically I have the "fight or flee," response.

I switched to goat milk a while back and life got a whole lot better.
My younger sister was lactose intolerant, still is, can't even eat a slice of pizza without probs. When she was a baby my great grandpa, grandma's dad on dads side had goats for milk she grew up on it. Remember it a little, we were young. She was fine on the goats milk.

Yep, I was suckered in, spent all of this money to go down, ended up attending NOTHING, because people are in general nasty.

So, my advice, embrace the awesome that is you, if they don't like it they can shove it.

If your son doesn't like your house, lovingly tell him that you would be thrilled and thankful if he would paint it, hire a cleaning service, redo the roof, the gutters, pay for monthly lawn care, etc.

So fine, if he is such a snot, you can meet him at the curb in your regular clothes, nothing wrong with him paying to take you out. Order a bunch, bring some home in a doggie bag for later.

I would feed excess to my animals.
I do. Pretty funny, you should see our turkeys/velociraptors. I don't bother throwing anything strange to them they won't eat it, zuks squash even smashed up don't touch them. We canned a lot of peaches couple bushels. Threw the skins to them just stomped them into the ground. Chickens get the 'weird' stuff they eat anything. Turkey's seem to love red, toss them bad tomatoes :lau:drool they go bonkers devour them and run around like freaks with them in their mouths chasing each other lol.

' fee -on -say '
They don't say that over and over again do they?.. I hear it sometimes, cracks me up lol.
Not that they do but my brother and his 'fee-on-say' crack me and DW up also. They werr together in high school broke up few yrs latter back together. Been living together several yrs. Announced last yr they are getting married. Aunt asked them when? Gave a date two yrs latter said they wanted to enjoy a long engagement as a soon to be married couple and didn't want to rush into it....:th:gig
