The Old Folks Home

Kitchen day today. It's going to be hot outside today, but probably warm in the kitchen, too. Making mint jelly, zucchini relish, pickled zuke strips (great on salads), zucchini bread and a batch of dog food. Can you guess what we've got lots of?

Processed a lot of just-harvested corn yesterday for the freezer. Wow. So really fresh (before sugars turn to starch) that it had an almost glass-like sheen to it.

You know what they say, "lock your car. Take your keys. Don't help a good kid go baa-d."
"Sheriff Pounds, the goat ate my homework, REALLY!"

rubber nipple on the end, clean it out.
Had that on our bottom freezer refrigerator. The "duckbill" can get clogged. Google to the rescue for me as well. Then it turned out there was a recall on that part so I got the "S trap" replacement.

The snakes, frogs and toads all swim. But they can't get up over the lip of the pool and many end up in the filtration basket. The chlorine is bad for their health, so any time we saw one we would get it out asap.
There was a tree frog that twice decided to visit the pool when DW was using it. Oddly the frog wasn't around until she got in. She rescued it both times.
