The Old Folks Home

Getting ready to pick apples, which meant I needed to clear out the apples in the freezer from last year.

So there is hot apple pie! (vanilla ice cream on hand if that is the way you like it) hot apple sauce and two loaves of pumpkin bread which have nothing to do with the apples but I have had two sugar pie pumpkins sitting on the counter staring at me for about a week now so I took the cleaver to one of them and voile pumpkin bread.

Line forms to the right, bring your own plate and fork! Us old folk need to keep our strength up!
Thanks Becky!

Not even a wave of the wand and a presto chango? It just split in half and then it was banana bread? Wow ;)

and mule jumping
Do the mules do the jumping like horses or are people jumping the mules?

Nope, it's filled too.
That is hard. :hugs

She's not whipped yet. There are still options available.
That is the proper attitude! She got goals and drive, she'll get there.

Here at UC Davis, the GPA has to be something over 4.0
Yeah Davis is impossible for mere mortals to get into.

trying to decide what to be for halloween
Comatose from eating all the candy?

It should not be as hard as they make it to get into a degree or certificate program.

I hope She has good news soon!
Thank you. I agree. A 3.1 GPA is not bad. It's just there are so many people trying to get into the program. They take in about 100 students every 3 months to start the prerequisites, which take 2 years, equaling 400 students a year, or 800 students in the 2 years. There are only 65 slots available each year for the course. They don't mention that part either. When applying, they make it sound like they have slots available for the course, once the 2 years of prerequisites are done. There were over 600 people vying for 65 available slots this year. You would think with that many students, they could afford to run two or more of the same course, even if they started them twice a year, instead of yearly.

It is harder to get into UC Berkeley. UC Merced is easiest of the University of California Campuses to get into

That does sound like a lot of competition for spots in the program
