The Old Folks Home

Greetings OFs! :frow
It is a beautiful day here. More like a September day than a November one, 73F. Forecast has us dropping to highs in the 50s on Wednesday ...still great for us this time of the year!

You're getting the same weather we are here in Missouri. Unbelievably warm but Windy! They are calling for rain to move in tonight with thunderstorms then temps dropping down into the 40s tomorrow.

All good things must come to an end. But next Saturday is opening day for rifle/deer hunting season. Haven't had any luck since retiring, not expecting that to change. Our deer population is down although we jumped a doe with Diesel and Sidney while we were out walking with them the other day. Their reaction was hilarious. We expected them to test the strength of their leashes and collars but instead they froze with their ears straight up and this "What was THAT!?" looks on their faces.

Maybe this will be the year to get a deer!

I wish we could have a rooster!
I have about 18 you could have! I'll pop them into a cardboard box, punch some holes in it, toss in some scratch, tape up the box and send them to you postage on me.

Just kidding. All nice boys.....just annoying me right now. My young cockerels from this spring are feeling their hormones. I'm getting zero eggs right now and they aren't helping matters any. My flock master, EF Rooster Tut, is soft on the competition. Plus he has a short attention span. It's like HEY! GET OFF MY HEN BEFORE I.....OH LOOK! A BUG!

From your lips to God's ears, Ron.

How are your knees feeling?

Mine decided to act up yesterday, probably from rearranging the kennel panels around the run and having to do a lot of kneeling and standing. I can walk, I can climb ladders, I can even jog a bit but once I get down in a kneeling or crouching position, I can't stand up without a lot of pain in my knees. Yesterday I was grabbing ahold of the kennel panels and pulling myself up. So now my neck and knees are sore....sometimes I just can't catch a break.:hit

I am sorry about the knees!
My knee is still doing very well from the injection. I did get egg shell membrane, tart cherries and avovida to see it they can help keep the joints happier.
