Merry Christmas, Penny and Clue!

A nippy 17 degrees here this morning. No wind, so it feels a tad warmer.

Wrapping gifts and making eggnog today. I'll put on some Christmas tunes (I grew up with the ones from the Dean Martin/Bing Crosby/Nat King Cole/Andy Williams era, so prefer those with acoustic guitar carols being the second preference.)

Wishing everyone a cozy and warm holiday!

Sounds wonderful. It is 48 degrees here but the wind is brisk and will cut you like a knife. It is supposed to get down in the twenties tonight. Sitting with a good book, a piece of banana nut bread and a cup of hot tea. Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas. If you are traveling, stay safe.

My dear husband told me not to worry about baking a pumpkin pie, there were enough cookies around that we didn't need pie on top of it!

So I took a nap!

Merry Christmas all! Feels like I missed out on something... Having a pop up stand at the mall took away the option for Christmas prep at home.. So plans are for a delicious pot roast. Guess a one dish meal will taste good with out the sweets that wreak havoc with hypoglycemia just one homemade Christmas cooky would taste sooo good- or one piece of Penny's pie!

I did feel the Christmas spirit if not through the traditional Christmas food. People text me their photos and I put them on shirts or canvases and my husband airbrushes words on them for Christmas gifts. There were a lot of Rest in Peace pictures, moving people to tears as they told their stories. One hoodie was a picture of a mother and the back has a picture of the baby, the Mother passed away. So much pain and love in the world

It also brought out the worst in people as well. One elderly man wanted a shirt saying all lives matter and a passer by started yelling not until black lives matter first- she kept telling and yelling and and a whole bunch of people got into the action. I was ready to call security. If only every one could learn to respect every one else's opinion peaceably
