The Old Folks Home

That would pass in the senate ;)

I still don't understand why it was possible for McConnell and crew to change the appointment to the lifetime position of Supreme Court Justice from 60% to simple majority. If ANY position should require a supermajority, that is it.
2013, Democrats led by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada, changed the rules so that lower court and Cabinet nominees could be confirmed with a simple majority, rather than the typical 60-vote threshold.

Happens every state I guess how often does a child go to work on the family farm . That was the answer for our misery

When American clocks turn back an hour at 2:00 a.m. Eastern Time on Nov. 5, that event will be just one more iteration of a practice—however unpleasant to some—to which Americans and many others around the world are well accustomed. But Daylight Saving Time wasn’t always such a routine idea.

The first Daylight Saving Time policy began in Germany on May 1, 1916, in the hopes that it would save energy during World War I, according to Michael Downing, author of Spring Forward: The Annual Madness of Daylight Saving Time. But, though Germans were first to mess with their clocks, they likely got the idea from Britain—and from someone whose ideas about Daylight Saving had little to do with conserving fuel.

Dh took the youngest grand to VPK this morning. They decided they're going to pull a prank on her teacher. Awhile back, the teacher gave each of her students a small stuffed dog. It's cute, and grand really loves it. She got a box, and made a dog house for it, got a couple little plastic bowls, cut up blue construction paper to fill one with water, and she cut up brown construction paper for the other bowl, as food. She got a smaller box, put in a washrag, to make a bed for it.

Yesterday, one of the kids took their stuffed dog to school. Grand was telling grandpa that she too wanted to take her stuffed dog to school. Grandpa told her that it hasn't grown much, and the teacher might think she's not taking care of it very well. When she gets home today, the pair of them are going to scour the internet, in search of a large stuffed dog, that resembles the one the teacher gave her. She'll take it in, and tell the teacher it eats a lot, and is growing up just fine.

Bought another new incubator today, I figure if I sell 10, $15 chicks, it's paid for.
Plz send me your old one........... plzzzzzzzzzzzz... ha ha ha... I found some 15 watt bulbs and the styrofoam container still got too hot.. time for some other type of container... I'm gonna keep trying until I get it right!!

And the weeklings moved to 1/2 of the big brooder today out of the smaller tub they were in. They have been staying as far from the heat lamp as possible even when the temps said 85 - 90 degrees... now they can roam as they please. When they feather out a bit then I add the second half of the dog kennel end to end, and they have plenty of room.

Apparently the California vote was in 2018 but the senate has to decide to actually do something about it with a vote by 2/3 of the body. I guess they haven't done anything.
It was ready to go before the pandemic. Hopefully it will be implemented soon.

The 2/3 vote will not be a problem apparently.

There are some concerned that the change in the hour of darkness might be dangerous for children going to school. To me that is silly since the modern world has lights!
