The Old Folks Home

Morning, OF peeps!

It's sunny and warm here today (two days ago it was 75), BUT the weather forecasters are predicting that by this time tomorrow there will be moderate-to-heavy snowfall on the ground due to an overnight storm. ABQ slated for 3-6", which means we on the northerly outskirts will get more. Luckily the DOH and my vet rescheduled all my tomorrow appointments -- without my asking -- so I can stay home, build a fire, and be cozy with indoor activities and not have to deal with my car (and its windshield) which is now outside due to the fact that recent hatched chicks moved into the garage brooder, nor trekking in the white stuff.

Today's activity was going to be replanting my peas and beets, but I think that can wait until after the thaw. Looking forward to this mandated down time!

Haven't started mowing yet, Got my weekly brooder cleaning done, plus worked on the house. My the dust. Between pollen, chicks and having feed in the house it seems dust accumulates much faster. Clean house make happy momma. Henrietta still hobbling around but she's outside in a natural environment, eating grass, dirt, food and had her scrambled eggs with spinach this morning. Getting more eggs than I can deal with and the neighbor still hasn't brought my 30 egg trays back yet.
