The Old Folks Home

Hey..coming on to let you know my husband passed on the 27th...last Thursday. All I can say is, this is so hard. Kids have been wonderful! So thankful for them. A couple stayed with me through the days as he passed. Then one daughter stayed one more night. The kids that live here we're in California for a wedding. They got back the day before he passed. I'm so grateful they are home..I'm not alone. Thank you for prayers.
I am so sorry! It sounds like it was sudden which is always a shock.

I am extremely glad that you are not alone.

Thank you for the update.

My prayers go out to you and your family for strength and healing. Grief is such a long slow and bumpy road. :hugs

I thought you had already been infected with Lyme disease. It is good that you have a treatment for ticks that get embedded.
Yeah, I'm way past taking chances with them. I was sick for a good three years before it backed off and wonder to this day if part of my joint problems aren't related to the infection. At the time my symptoms were more neurological, dizziness, neuritis, brain fog, short term memory loss, floaters, diplopia. It's such a fun disease, isn't it @CapricornFarm?

Oh Cynthia, I am so terribly sorry. There are no words that can sooth you right now, I know. Hang on to the memories, good and yes even the ones that weren't so good and know you are in my thoughts and prayers.

What did he think was impossible???

Down in Texas ticks loved bark.

Oaks weren't too bad, but climbing a cedar tree was asking for ticks. I think because the cedar had deeper bark grooves. :idunno
Idunno I quit that particular forum when another member told me that I was basically going to Hell because I wore shorts and a tank top like I am wearing now and didn't dress the way God decreed in the New Testament. I wanted to tell him then he should be wearing long robes and sandals because that is what both men and women wore back then.

I just figured it wasn't worth the argument. Hit the delete button and never went back.

My 75 year old friend was really sick from lymes disease about 8 years ago. After she got the second covid vaccination she got really sick again, she could barely get out of bed anymore. They believe the shot caused her immune system to over react and the lymes in her joints came out of remission. Her symptoms lasted 2 months

Another reason to delay vaccinating for me to add to the list. The thought of having my RA flare, and then the Lyme to resurface at the same time?

No thank you.

Hope your friend is feeling better. Lyme is such a nasty insidious disease. I truly HATE ticks.
