All the rain we are seeing they say was needed out here. Also to stop some fires but the did allot of pre fire season burning of excess brush.
I just know I am tired of rubber boots

Washington State is not on the list of dire places. Oregon is though.

It's neither the 3rd of June nor another sleepy dusty Delta day here, but I found myself humming "Ode to Billy Joe" as I was picking peas before the day got too hot. Will be doing a bit of shelling in the cool of the inside later today!

Sat down with some mindless TV on for shelling and it was only a couple of shows. Will be doing that frequently over then next couple of days as more peas swell in the shell for harvesting. (I picked maaaybe about 1/4 of them today.)

Yes, we saw a picture of Lake Berryessa and it is very empty.

We had very little rain this year and not much of a snow pack on the Sierras. Our City will be putting us under water restrictions soon

Due to a horrible deal the NM Gov made a while back, New Mexico's Rio Grande River irrigation water this year goes to Texas and Mexico. I'm on an irrigation well, so thus far not as affected. BUT with field crops then pulling water from the aquifers, there's going to be a drop in water levels and I anticipate mandated meters on private wells. Grrrrrrrrr.....

I hope the well does not go dry!

Woodland put us on meters about 5 years ago. Before that, we paid a flat fee for water every month.
