We have Wolf spiders here
Wolf spiders are members of the family Lycosidae. These are athletic spiders that don't spin webs to catch their prey; instead, they run it down.

You got time to get here, it's sloooooooooowwwwwwww roasting! Nothing like a got pot roast with carrot, tators and onions.
I can smell it clear up here in Missouri! :drool

We have the Wolf Spiders also. Fierce looking things but I try to chase them outside when I find one indoors. They make that funnel type web here in some of the weirdest places. Like between the deck and the house with the funnel going in the little gap. They take out a lot of insect pests and with all the heat and rain we have had this summer.

LOOKEE! I got a gift premium membership from a special lady here at the Home. Thank you @CSolis. I am humbled by your kindness.

This is the one that was visiting last year. It wasn't as large as some others have been. Maybe a male? Are they one of those species where the female is larger than the male?
Females will have a larger abdomen compared to males because it contains 200–400 eggs And a FYI: Those long tails are used to deter bats.
