I'm so proud of me. It's September and I withstood the temptation to brood chicks this summer! No more broody hens....finally. No broody buster bingo. No more Brinsea tempting me with her sirens' song of ...c'mon, Becky, you know you want to! Only 6 little bantam eggs....4? C'mon, what would 3 chicks hurt?' When I walk past the box she is stored in.

Nope, resist her I did. But now I'm plotting for next spring and deciding what I want to hatch first...Fayoumis or bantams? How many do I want to hatch of each? Hmmmm...or do I want to order some Fayoumi chicks from MMcM and hatch bantams since nobody sells sexed bantam chicks...decisions decisions and I have a long dark winter to consider the possibilities.
