The Old Folks Home

Hi Guys.

Trip two to the doctors today for more folding, bending and mutilating. Good news is I'm going to live. My sacrum was still hung up which was causing my soreness and pain. Got me realigned. Then he addressed my feet. The shoes the podiatrist told me to get are a no go. He had me walking with them on and without them on he said the shoes were the problem.

So I got a choice......foot pain or back pain. :rant:barnie

That's almost as bad as what do you want lopped off, your hand or your foot?

So I'm back to where I was two months ago. But I'm walking straight and with only minimum pain. We shall see and as they say time will tell. The back pain is so debilitating though that I have to say I'll live with the foot pain.

The big bite though is that I've spent 150$ on shoes that I can't wear....The most expensive pair 100$ on sale had a 30 day guarantee on them for returns...which was up on Sept 3.

So how this Monday is shaping up for me?

How about wearing these shoes for just a short time every day, starting at maybe 20 minutes at a time?
This would give your spine and rest of your body enough time to adjust comfortably to the new position. Maybe consult with your doctor if that would be an option for you.

Same here. I open the coop door and it looks like a pillow fight gone bad. Some of the hens are starting to look really ratty and one of the roos lost his tail overnight. Everyone seems to be running from everyone else and squawking at one another. The only ones molting gracefully are the Fayoumi hens.

DH asked me if I wanted to get the coop cleaned and I looked at all the feathers and said...after molt.

Funny thing though is my girls are still doing pretty good with egg production. At least 6-9 a day. Some days less but average about 5 a day. More than enough for our use.

I decided to scramble up a couple dozen eggs tonight for the dogs. Broke a bantam egg and it was rotten....eeeewwwww rotten. Egg shell was intact so I don't know what went wrong nor was I about to look into it past getting it out of the house.....fast.
I was used to getting 5-6 eggs a day and am down to 3-4 and we eat a lot of eggs. It's one protein that suggests well for both of us.
