The Old Folks Home

@LaFleche, Problem is for me that my spine is unstable thanks to Osteoarthritis so my vertebrae are prone to move around. The shoes that my podiatrist recommended are rocker bottom shoes, which are changing the ergometrics of my spine causing my vertebrae to shift. For the normal person, short periods of wear would probably get their backs and feet to work together but my messed up vertebrae make my muscles loose and causing inflammation and nerve irritation.

Unfortunately I think it's a point of what I want to hurt the least. My feet or my back.

Sometimes you eat the bear and sometimes the bear eats you. I don't think the podiatrist realized how unstable my spine is when she suggested the shoes. Told my doctor's nurse yesterday that I needed the two doctors to get together on a conference call and get on the same page.

Great hatch, C. I love that final last kick with those swollen little feet and legs that gives them the freedom they have struggled for. Congratulations!
Eggscellent hatch! 100% All Bonnie Bees. Thought there might have been a Sara Burger in the bunch but, nope.. All little butter fluffs.

Got all 8 of the laying pullets moved in with their perspective hubbies. Two of Henrietta's daughters joined her in with Bruce and Prince's sistah.
Star, Starburst and Missy (Mara's daughter by Prince) went in with Prince.. Mara and Margaret will follow them once their back get feathers.
Starshine (Henrietta's daughter by Charlie) and Snowy went in with Graystoke. I think being in there together will be good for Snowy. Aunt Muffins can be kind of a bish.
And Peg went in with Bandit and his 4 ladies. Peg the Wyandotte is just so sweet she wouldn't survive any where else. Twist, Dora, Dotty and Morena are all simply sweet ladies and I hope there are no issues there.
That leaves the large round pen empty except for (2) year old hens recuperating from overuse. I'll move 5 of the younger pullets in with them tomorrow night, which leaves two in the second turn out pen.. They will stay there with King Wheaties and his sister from the first clutch of bantams I hatched from Sara. That leaves 2 Cockerels in the smallest turnout pen awaiting their future somewhere other than here.
