The Old Folks Home

Makes me glad I live where I do. No neighbors where I can see, hear or smell them.
I can see my next door neighbor's house, more so when the leaves are down. Very fortunately, we all get along back here.

I can smell when the farmer puts manure on his fields too. :) I don't mind; he occasionally is the first to plow the road and beats the county to it. The milk truck HAS to get through. The mail, eh, not so much. No school buses come down our road, or maybe we would get plowed more often.

I describe how close my neighbors are this way: If you can see in my windows, you are either trespassing, or have some pretty darn good optics.

Well I wasn't trying to do it, it just sorta happened.. Maybe drink more water, not get overheated, or emotional when you find your first broody dead and all but one chick gone and the one that escaped the snake dead like mom. Twas quite a morning.

Morning OF. Time to get coffee guzzled and get to work!
:hugsWell I'm glad you survived all that and your stroke as well. Just goes to prove that women are amazing and God is gracious. Have a great day.

Morning everyone and welcome to the Home @bigbluehen! Another Missourian amongst the ranks!

They are calling for rain here starting tonight so we have been trying to get our 2 meter antenna back in the air. It was damaged in high wind gusts that we had here two days ago.

I finally woke up today with only soreness in my hip and back instead of frank pain so I'm doing a conservative happy dance and hoping it stays that way today.

Hey, a nice little bit of extra non taxable income never hurts!
Yeah, but Bruce, the money was stolen over a 4 year period of time. They have like forever to pay us back. No justice at all. It was over 1000 dollars a month. Seems fair that we would get it back....1000 dollars a month.

As it was they only got a slap on the wrist. Something like a month of weekends in jail, 90 hours of community service and paying us back a dribble at a time.

This individual got a job working for a bank! :he :barnie:thWe paid taxes on the money, they didn't and when we asked the IRS about it we were told that they wouldn't go after them about it because they were only looking at 'large sum' evasions.

To a small business, 50,000 dollars IS a large sum.
