Nice thought, but if I ever wake up 'pain free' I'll fear that I have died and gone to heaven.Good morning everyone. I hope everyone has an ache free day!
His Dr had contacted him a couple weeks ago to make the appointment. He is getting it at the Dr office but not all the Drs offices have the same kind of shotGood morning.
I had heard that it was up for approval for general use on Wed/Thurs of this week.![]()
I think you'll find out pretty quick what your tummy agrees with and doesn't. This disease pretty much disagrees with, greasy foods, spicy foods, caffeine, and like you said, fibers. Really does suck to not being able to eat or drink foods you like. But the consequences if you do...suck more.Cynthia, I am running up the white flag. I told the doctor today that I had always told my doctor that I'd get a colonoscopy when he could catch me and drag me in bodily. I just grinned and said. Think he caught me.
Yeah I drank two swallows of coffee when I got home read that on another post and dumpted it down the sink. So proud of me.
No I do not want to go through this again. I've been reading different diets. None of them sound realistic in all honesty. One says don't eat this the other says, oh, you can eat that, don't eat THIS.
I know I don't handle fiber at all so it is out. But is decaf or herbal tea allowed?
You just may have what I had. And I have to wonder if it's back. They do a stool test. Easier than a colonoscopy. I was put on an antibiotic. Did the trick, but.. of course there's the..but...I was told it could take months for the bowel to get back to normal. In the meantime, living on Imodium. Now who's sharing tmi?my temperature, my white count, my blood pressure. it's been a rough two days -Cap, i spiked a fever this afternoon. Started cramping again and feeling generally like warmed over death on a soda cracker. I called my regular doctor and told them what happened and about my trip to the ER. They ordered me antibiotics, anti nausea pills (I get to trade holding my head in the waste basket by the sofa and dry heaving for constipation and headaches. Sounds like a plan to me!) I took the nausea meds and antibiotics and two tylenol and my temp is down tonight. Only 99.2 now. Much better than 101.8. Better news and I am holding my breath, crossing my fingers and toes...I haven't passed blood in the past 5 hours.yeah I know TMI but @lovesfarns knows what I'm talking about.
Yeah, well, I can't say I feel like the little dancing emojis. My left guts are as sore as hell and I told DH when he volunteered to feed the chooks for me with me coaching him along that my left bowel feels like my right bowel did when I had my appendix ripped out along with my gall bladder.
Plan now is that I see the my doctor on Wednesday to see how I'm doing, go over things, devise a plan and see if he wants to change any meds.
Then there is that ever so delightful trip to the GI and discussion about the even more delightful colonoscopy so they can figure out what is going on with my colon. Good news nothing suspicious on the CT. as far as my digestive track is concerned outside of the colitis, but what's going on in the colon is the mystery. Is it Crohns or is it Inflammatory Bowel Disease. That's like asking somebody, okay would you rather I hack off your thumb or your big toe?
Buy Bless him, my husband took on feeding and watering with me coaching him on. he was amazed at how many feeders and waterers I have. Well you don't understand...I told him. I want to make sure EVERYONE eats and drinks.
I promised him to simplify things.
Me too! Getting old is so much fun.Nice thought, but if I ever wake up 'pain free' I'll fear that I have died and gone to heaven.
I miss having a fireplace. I had to have something. Bought an electric.Looking forward to fires in the wood stove.
