The Old Folks Home

That is high but still cheaper than what GoodRx came up with at ANY pharmacy near here. Same with all the other ones you listed. Good grief.

Sure has!! :hugs

OK, if that would work for Micro it would be great!
GoodRx says $18-$23 retail, as low as $12.60 with GoodRx.
Good Rx was no help to me

micro, ask the pharmacist who the manufacturer is, and call them. Oftentimes, they have their ways of getting their product out for those that need it, but can't afford it. I had to do that with my Ibrance. To get it through my pharmacy, my co-pay is over $1,500.00 a month. I called the Ibrance people. They had a plan in place, and a pharmacy that works with them, so I don't pay anything at all. They send it by Fedex each month.

While not all of the medications qualify for special type programs, many do. It's worth a phone call.
True... we got something like that for my kid's epi-pen. First set was free, second only $25.

I can't stand that stuff
I agree with you girl! Totally nasty. I put it in pineapple juice and stir it till it's completely dissolved. I told my husband it'd be a lot more palatable if I had two shots of Jack or Vodka to toss into it. Dang I'd even be happy with a couple of shots of Capt. Jack.

Me either. I see my DO on Wednesday. Maybe he can pull a rabbit out of his hat.

My pharmacist calls me at times and tells me that one of my meds is cheaper out of pocket than it is through my Part D. Naturally I choose the out of pocket price over the insurance.

I took my Social Security medicare card in so they could see if they could find me a better Part D provider. Nope. The one they were hoping to change it to is as crappy as the one I have, LOL.

One of my 5 month old pullets laid her first egg today!
:wee

Told ya they would start in November :D I'm still waiting of course but Nina (Black Australorp) seems to be red in the comb and wattles.

And .... most of the time you have to throw them out after a year unused though if you need to use one you NEEEEEED to have it. At least you aren't throwing out much money. I understand the drug in the autoinjector is dirt cheap so where is the high cost coming from? The fancy injector??

I am not sure that I agree with the "it doesn't work after a year" (and yes, that is what it says on the box.... but still)

I need to research that though.....

Shelf Life - the time period from when the product was manufactured to it’s ‘expiry date’ -i.e. The time period the product is expected to be safe , effective and fit-for-purpose provided it has been packaged and stored in recommended conditions throughout this period,

Expiry Date - all drugs tend to deteriorate /degrade from the point of manufacture and the ‘expiry date’ of a product is the end point of its shelf life taking into account a tolerance of degradation ( normally less than 10%). Degradation is normally due to hydrolysis (chemical degradation by water) or oxidation ( reaction with oxygen) or by microbiological contamination . Drugs produced in liquid forms ( e.g. Oral mixtures , injections) are generally less stable and degrade more quickly than the same drug in a solid formulation ( tablet /capsule) . Degradation is also temperature dependent , and some formulations are designed to be stored at room temp (25 degrees C) whereas some must be refrigerated ( 4–8 degrees C).

Half-life. This is usually a reference to the time taken for the body to eliminate 50% of the dose of drug after the time of administration. It varies with different drugs and between individual patients but ‘average’ half-lives’of drugs may be found in the literature. E.g. Most penicilllins - half lives around 20 mins , digoxin ( a heart medication) - half life = 36 hours - both assume normal kidney function etc.

Sure, sure.. that i know...

I just don't trust them to tell me the truth.

Shorter shelf life = more money for them.

Color me paranoid. :idunno

This is a test, this is a test of the old fart confirmation system. If you are able to identify the characters in this photo...you are an old fart.
