The Old Folks Home

Haven't got the "behave OR ELSE" Grandma look down yet I guess?

Should my girls have kids at some point I suspect I'll be like you. I really do NOT like to hear kids screaming (even the "I'm really happy" screams) and crying. I cringe when I hear one at the far end of the grocery store.
The whining is almost as bad. Might be why we lose our hearing as we age.

Bella and i got the empty Turkey Coop painted. Photo shows the start of painting the inside peach. Going to use it for some of my polish.

Mine were doing that this morning.. So funny to watch them. I just found one of my young SDW OEGBs with a broken spur. Saw it happen. He got too close to a hen for one of the big roosters and he got chased. Somehow in the escape he was suddenly screaming, whimpering and hopping on one leg. Checked him over and found blood around the base of the spur so I brought him in and put Stipek powder on it and dh cut strips of vetwrap for me so I could support it as much as possible. Don't know whether to remove it or see if it mends at this point.

Worse than kids.

Speaking of which. I agree with you @Capricorn farm. Your house, your rules. You are Grandma and if they don't respect your rules then you have the right to enforce them.

Well, the man came, and put new springs on the garage door, lubricated everything, etc. No one was injured in the process.

The chickens seem happy with the tarps on the coops.

The kids were a handful today. I don't know why they were so wound up today, but they were. We muddled through, and managed to get all their schooling done, but it wasn't easy. Two of them got 2 times out. Not a normal day at all.
