Actually if you go with a Bavarian Sour Kraut, it's quite tasty. The Bavarian style is like a sweet and sour sour kraut. Hey, you aren't raised in a Pennsylvania Duetch/German household without becoming a connoisseur of sour kraut. I've had it with hotdogs, ham hocks, on top of mashed potatoes, as a side dish. Yum makes me want to make some and I'm down to my last can.

Aldi's has Bavarian Sauerkraut. I almost bought a jar today but didn't wish I did now, never had it.
I've mainly only had homemade, and mostly fresh not canned.

I'm getting green eggs from countess. The eggs themselves aren't green, just the shells.

Kids love those easter egger eggs, even if it's just the shell, they love 'green eggs and ham'

I don't think my mom ever fixed Bavarian Kraut. Knowing how my Dad loved it he would have probably considered it being 'sweet' would be a sacrilege. I had a neighbor tell me about it and fixed it once. I was sold. I would love to try it in a sour kraut salad if I could ever find a good recipe.

Haven't heard of that, I'll try some if I ever see it at the store. Actually it is kinda hard to figure out where they hide the plain old sauerkraut so I don't know if anyone around here carries the Bavarian.
