The Old Folks Home

Morning Old Folks.. I too am fortunate to have Mr. fixit
live here also .. I am not bad with soldering iron myself :caf
Just remember it doesn't count if you solder and magic smoke appears.

BTW. I can solder and have built two circuit board projects...without magic smoke appearing!:celebrate

I have to admit, I am grateful for him (don't tell him, or his head will get even bigger), and his fix-it abilities. When he was young, his dad owned the local appliance store. They did tv repairs. This was back when tv's had tubes. He learned a lot about repairing electronics, soldering, etc. Sometimes he amazes me. He's a hard worker too. Always busy.

He's not always a patient person, but can be. When I was going through all the medical tests, surgeries, doctors' appointments, etc. with the cancer, he chauffeured me around, and waited patiently, never complaining. He can be a pain in the butt, but he has many redeeming qualities.

Before I make him sound too good, I was cleaning out the old eggs, and the garbage can was out by the road, waiting for the garbage men. I put them in a big zip lock bag, so they wouldn't stink, and set them in the garage, by the door, so they could be put into the garbage can when it got brought back to the house. He was headed out to work, and told the girls to get the eggs, and have an egg fight.

Next thing I hear is the youngest crying, and screaming. Yes, her older sister hit her with a rotten egg. Yes, it stunk. Yes, it was dripping all over. I got her into the shower, cleaned her up, took her clothes out to be washed. It's a good thing for him, that he had already left for work.
