The Old Folks Home

Good morning folks.

I've come to the conclusion that coffee is a mental and emotional state as well as a physical. Even though I'm now drinking decaf, I get up and look forward to that first mug of coffee. Brings a smile to my face when I take that first sip.

I used to put a two mug limit on my intake of real coffee. Now it's HEY! I can drink 3 if I want and even have a mug in the afternoon. So there are benefits to Decaf even if you don't get the caffeine fix with every cup.

I have been really into tea lately. I do drink caffeinated (both black and green) but I also love herbal non caffeinated teas and those are nice because you get the benefits of having a hot cup of something to drink and it feels nice or whatever but it’s not caffeine and you can drink it whenever you want hahah

I love Iced Tea. Unfortunately I'm really supposed to only drink decaf due to the rhythm problem I have with my heart. Everything I drank up till the time I had the diverticulitis diagnosis was decaf except my morning coffee. then one ten ounce mug with one top off at the half way mark and that was it. I LOVE regular coffee. But like I said, with the new diets caffeine is a no no so I obey.

Decaf herb teas, iced tea, coffee, whatever. Anything is better than going through another attack of diverticulitis colic.

Plus you can drink it whenever you like, like you said!
