Morning! Learned some fun facts reading Readers Digest this morn;

"Voltaire, the famous satirist who wrote "Candide," is perhaps one of the most avid coffee addicts in history. He reportedly consumed somewhere between 40 and 50 cups of joe a day, apparently of a chocolate-coffee mixture. He lived into his eighties, though his doctor warned him that his beloved coffee would kill him."

And how long have I been on BYC? And I've never heard this I don't think, had to google it and I guess it's true;

"Is it a male or female? Check its poop. A turkey’s gender can be determined from its droppings–a male’s will be shaped like the letter J, a female’s more spiral-shaped."

True in wild turkeys also, Beer. I read that in a conservation magazine the state puts out. In the winter we go for walks in the timber and look for droppings under roosting spots then try to tell how many Toms, Jakes and hens are moving through the property. The number is down. They say too many predators are killing the chicks and eggs. That's why our rule is kill raccoons whenever we can.

I hope nobody was in the line of the tornados that went through the south central part of the country last night. We were lucky. We had fog, then rain then wind. It kept me awake last night. Gusts to the mid 40s here had the house shaking. I told DH I was afraid to go look to see if my chicken coop still had a roof on it. I did brave a peek out the front windows. Nope no debris. No feathers. No chickens running around. Whew!

I got a notification from Fed EX this morning that their shipping hub in Memphis was damaged and they were warning about shipping delays.

Tornados in December. Wow. Is all I can say. My heart goes out to those people.

How in the heck did Voltaire have time to write? Did he have a desk set up in the loo where he probably spent most of his time?

Fed Ex has been delivering packages to our house as late as 10pm. In their personal vehicles, 'who dat coming up our driveway!!'
One of them freaked me out, must not have trusted our hundred yard long driveway, saw some walk by our living room window in the dark

Vehicles that are permitted include SUV, sport utility vehicle, sedan, hatchback, mini van, van with no windows and trucks with a covered cab.

Vehicle has to be no older than 15 years. Must be in good condition, No rust etc.

Must be 21 years or older with at least one year driving experience (Uber, Door dash, Construction, Landscaping, Cabin Cleaning etc.)

Must have and be able to provide Valid license, insurance and registration.

pay is 14$hr plus mileage (57.5 cents per mile)
