The Old Folks Home

This is why when discharging people from the recovery room, I always add,
"Don't go to the Casino tonight. Don't call your friends and tell them what you really think."
Ya think?

I have to admit I was laughing my head off before they gave me the anesthetic. Wheeling me into the Endoscopy suite. Next door was the Scope Room which is where they were doing colonoscopies. I said it was convenient they put what the rooms were for in big letters so all the regular staff knew where they were. The nurse said 'and to make it more convenient for us, they put it in braille too. Because we all know there are a LOT of blind nurses and doctors out there doing endoscopies.'

That is a SCARY thought.

I am nearsighted so I travel (and hike) with contacts, spare contacts, glasses, and spare glasses. 😳 The idea of trying to make my way out of the forest without them... 😱 I would probably trip over a mountain lion!
I always bring a backup, yup a fear of mine.
Not a experience without seeing but most scared I've prob ever been in my life, fishing a lake, decided to go down a steep bank where the dam is down a trail, stepped over a fallen log, hopped and screamed like a lunatic that stepped on a rattle snake when I stepped on it. I don't know who was more scared me, or the little baby fawn that blatted down the hill, pretty sure it was me

Stepped on a hen turkey setting on a nest while judging a field trial. Jumped and screamed like a little girl.

Good morning.

I'm trying to get used to the idea that I need readers. Maybe I'll put it off till my birthday in February, and then I can say I made it to 60 without having readers.
I've always had astigmatism, then when I got to late 40's needed bifocals. So what did I do? I called my dad up and said, 'Danged your getting old, I just got bifocals."
