The Old Folks Home

Dh has used 2 monitors for years. He began with a 24", then later on added a 26" one. The small 24" on began giving him a bit of trouble. He decided he'd replace it with a Dell 26-27 inch screen, so at least he'd have 2 that were about the same size. He ordered the one he wanted. They were assembling it, and it would soon be on it's way to it's new home.

A few weeks later, just before it was due to arrive, Dell contacted him. They did not have his monitor, and due to supply shortages, didn't have the needed components to assemble one for him. Not to worry, they were willing to upgrade to a 32 inch screen, better model, for the same price. Dh agreed.

Once again, a few weeks later, Dell contacted him. Again, they could not deliver, however, they did have the components, and could send him their top of the line, 37" curved screen, 4K, G-sync compatible, gaming monitor. They would be forced to charge $50.00 more, to cover their cost for it, but at that point, they were doing it at their cost, and it was well below normal cost for that monitor.

I told him he should go for it. He wasn't sure he'd like the curved screen. I assured him that according to the reviews, those switching to the larger curved monitors, found the transition easy, and they liked the curved monitors better. Especially those that were going from a 2 monitor scenario, to a large curved screen, like he was able to do. He agreed.

Yesterday, he removed both old monitors from his desk, and replaced it with his large, curved screen monitor. He wasn't sure whether he would like it, or whether he was going to send it back. After getting everything set up, and some tuning, he's decided he likes it. Yes, he agreed, it's very easy to transition to the curved screen, and yes, it's designed to do the job of 2 monitors. He's really liking it.

The best part was, he got it WAY below market price.
