The Old Folks Home

Good morning. I'm not going to sit and rock on the porch either. The AC is inside... I've already worked up a sweat and hiding underneath is it a nap soon. Then I've got a list of little things that will not take long but each is important. Need some rat bait that the chickens can't get into. I didn't gather eggs last night when we came in and all the eggs in one of the coops were eaten. Nothing but some shells left in the nests. Usually if it was a hen she would have eaten the shells too I think.

Rats or possums likely. Snakes eat them whole.

Ok..will share, even though you all are sharing the fun. Had a man get killed a couple of weeks ago on the highway not far from us. He was going to pass a truck..big one, clipped the back of it, that flung him into the oncoming traffic, was hit of course, so bounced back onto the other lane again. That road was closed for half the day. Can't imagine how that affected the ones that hit and or witnessed it. If I understand correctly, you guys have a dirt bike. That's better than being on a highway. I think. 🤔
I have my M rating but do not like street riding. Riding dirt bikes have its own set of dangers but I always say that no tree has ever pulled out on me on a trail and no squirrel has ever been distracted texting a message when one crosses my path.

Was riding two up with my husband some years ago in Kirksville. He is a talented rider having road raced when he was a younger man. We have boxes of his trophies and his plaques hanging on the wall in the shop so he knows his way around a bike and is an experienced rider. I always feel safe when riding on a bike with him.

That day we had a woman merge onto the main street that we were on without seeing us even though she was looking in our direction. Only his quick reactions kept us from being hit and going down in heavy traffic. That was enough for me. I can understand the 'Start Seeing Motorcycle Riders' signs now.

Read the news and they are talking about vintage things from the 60s and 70s,
Antique and classic car show at the park today. Of course I didn't know, kinda messed up getting to the farmers market which is held in the same park. Lots of cars that were in the parking lot when I was in high school.

Hi everyone, I hope you are well. Has anyone heard from @Alaskan?
Nope, not for months. Not here nor on BYH.

I'd love to ride both, but the motorcycles don't need to eat when you're not riding them. 😆
No but they are quiet and quite stable if well trained ;)

I turned 72 yesterday and I'm still as pretty as I was the day before.:)
Happy belated birthday!!!!

Loud pipes save lives!
Loud pipes are offensive and painful. And they are heard after the machine passes you, not so much before.
