The Old Folks Home

Baby aspirin was not such a good idea for all people. The new recommendation is:

Aspirin should be initiated selectively based on individual decision-making rather than routinely for all persons in the recommended age and CVD risk group. There is a new recommendation not to initiate aspirin in adults 60 years or older for primary prevention.Apr 26, 2022
Last time I was in the ER they came in with asprin. I said no.

Ok..will share, even though you all are sharing the fun. Had a man get killed a couple of weeks ago on the highway not far from us. He was going to pass a truck..big one, clipped the back of it, that flung him into the oncoming traffic, was hit of course, so bounced back onto the other lane again. That road was closed for half the day. Can't imagine how that affected the ones that hit and or witnessed it. If I understand correctly, you guys have a dirt bike. That's better than being on a highway. I think. 🤔
Got a couple street bikes too!
Used to commute by motorcycle a couple times a week, but even fifteen years ago, I noticed that drivers were becoming more brazen, and it takes me about fifteen minutes to put on all my protective gear, so you have to weigh out whether or not it's worth the time to commute for twenty minutes, when gearing up/down will take a half-hour.
I see tons of inexperienced riders doing tons of stupid things, and I cannot help but think that they're going to draw the short straw sooner or later.
But, as always, I appreciate your input.

So, clipping the back of the vehicle you're trying to pass is one heck of an oversight. Do you know what type of bike he was on, his/or her age demographic, years of experience, endorsement or not?

No, don't know his age. Was wondering. I bet I can fi s it in the news now. That n8ght it was just reported that two motorists were killed that day, and where. Yes, clipping the back of a diesel..how? 😕

I will turn 70 in November. I was also just looking in the mirror the other night and asked that person staring back at me...who are you?! Time, never thought it would go as fast as the old folks were saying to me back in the day. It does.
I turned 72 yesterday and I'm still as pretty as I was the day before.:-)
