The Old Folks Home

Or has become trap educated/shy.
It's possible, but I need to use the greenhouse. I need to harvest the seedling sweet potatoes right under that nest, or retrieve stems so I can keep them alive over the winter. I have other plants in there that are irreplaceable. I can't just wait until spring in the hope that it's not something dangerous.

Hera has gone back to roosting on the alpaca stand in front of the stall coop. She knows she is supposed to be in the coop and she KNOWS she doesn't want me to give her a ride. As I approach she starts squawking, I pass by, turn and shine the flashlight on the ground in front of the people door (auto chicken door long since closed). She jump flys down, still squawking, walks into the coop and gets herself up on the roost. Not sure why she started doing this again. She had been going into the coop with the others for many months.
She likes attention.

Sounds like it's nocturnal. So do things during the day.

Sadly we don't have trick or treaters. I think the big roosters keep them away. The coyotes may influence them a bit too. That created a hardship on me having to cleanup all that candy on my own.
Same here. Except mostly people don't know we're way out here at the end of a dirt road.
