During the winter holidays, my biggest weakness is Eggnog.
THAT is my downfall!
Just give me my personal spiked gallon. . And I will suck it down... and watch the pounds add up!
Anyway... I finally, said enough of that.
So, I just go cold turkey with the eggnog. With booze or without... I just keep my mitts off.
It is imperative that I continue to lose weight... so that I don't have to go on pills for my cholesterol.... so sacrifices... they must be made.
And there is NO WAY I AM GIVING UP BUTTER OR FATTY MEAT.... so.... less weight is the path I am on.
It has been working... my cholesterol numbers were a bit better this past summer.
And you folks... with your 1 pound a week thing....

as if I could!
1 year of work... and I am down 20 pounds.
But... that was enough for the numbers to get better.
So... I want 15 more pounds off... this year (D Day for me is mid summer).
So.... chugging along.
With my messed up shoulder I went up maybe 3 pounds... but luckily, now that the shoulder is improving... I am back on my very slow weight loss track.
For me, I have found that any food eaten late in the day goes straight to fat.
And the crackers.... stay away from the crackers, and the Cheetoes! Talk about "plastic" food, the sole purpose of which is to add on the pounds!
I also chew lots of gum. When I want a second portion.... which is always.... I put a stick of gum in my mouth.
But... I STILL eat my pure delicious butter, and the kids still make me eggs Benedict whenever I get a hankering... because hot butter and egg yolks is pure heaven! Even better when you eat it with fatty bacon slices! Hint, toss on some fresh greens to cut the fat.
