Our school was always the last to close for snow days.

I lived in VA for a bit. I remember school closing down because of abow. Here in Utah we think its funny when schools close down for an inch or two of snow.

When we live in NW MO it had to be a really bad snow storm to close schools. If the busses could see the road to run school was open.

Yep. I remember standing in snow up to my waist waiting for the school bus.

At one point Dad had to go to work with four feet of snow on the ground. They just told everyone to be careful coming in.

Dad got in trouble for sending out a company wide email stating that the Dallas (?) center was being shut down in sympathy for Salt Lake's snow.

I don't like snow. Period. Or Ice storms. Or sleet. Love good thunderstorms. There is an old phrase in a song about "I've seen it in the lightning, heard it in the thunder". Love it.

I need a sleep storm. I so much wanted to take a morning nap. All I did was lay down. To much going around and around in my head. To much thinking about a hip replacement that they don't won't to give me and it I don't get it how often can I have those painful shots into the joints that make it possible to walk. It's hard not to think about it when the shot you've had starts wearing out.

I'm getting sleepy now but can't take the last round of meds before 9:30. Need to go and take a look at the little ones in the sun room one more time and make sure they have clean water and feed for the night. The big light is off but the heat lamp is still on. They are feathered out yet. They are the cutest bunch I've ever hatched.
