The Old Folks Home

We lost power for a couple of hours on Saturday afternoon, due to wind, I'm guessing. A VERY short power outage for around here!

We got a generator in 1999, and NOT because of Y2K. We'd had a couple of 2-3 day power outages and said that was enough.

The Emerald Ash Borer has assured that there are no living Ash trees around here. :(
I wonder if they effect both green and white ash trees. All I ever cut for fireplace wood was white ash. I was given permission to cut all I wanted ahead of the bulldozers clearing land for more soybeans. The lumber value had to have been a lot gut except for what I cut it all got piled and burned on site. This was in the far NW area of MO.

Good morning, OF. My truck was serviced yesterday so I am good to go today once it warms up.
I need to get a service like that. One that would make me good to go when it is below 55° and above 80°.

Good Morning Old Folks. The sun is shining here and the wind has found a lower gear.

I just turned 40 this summer. May I come in? Or am I still a whippersnapper?

My old person credentials include: driving the speed limit, using proper(ish) spelling and grammar, and enjoying a good nap.
Welcome. Old Folk credentials are determined by far more than just chronological age. :p
