I'd love those coated in cinnamon. My mother used to make those decades ago. I don't think we have ever made them and probably don't even know how. One day when the weather cools in the fall it will be time to find out.

Were they cake donuts or raised donuts?
 
cakes I believe.
You can get some good donut mixes and the coat them in cinnamon sugar.

Growing up, my mom would make donuts with left over bread dough and we would roll them out of the frying pan into cinnamon sugar.

I'm going to look at mixes. I hope there is a low carb version that we can use stevia with cinnamon to coat. I like all things cinnamon.
