I read the book, Outlive, by Peter Attia. He says the 4 most important things concerning health and longevity are:

1. Exercise
2. Nutrition
3. Sleep
4. Mental health

Yes, exercise beat nutrition. The three parts of exercise/training were strength, stamina, and stability. He said, don't aim for "what's good for someone your age," aim for stats for someone 20 years younger.
