NOT SURE WHO THAT COULD BE... ANY ONE?

My sick biddy in the basement died last night. I'm relieved. She had 24 hours of antibiotics and really wasn't sounding too much better. I wish she had died faster than the 2 weeks it took her of wheezing, gasping and coughing. I am also glad that it doesn't seem to have affected any of my other birds. They were out with me last night in the yard and I did hear two of those loud coughs from another bird (you know, they sound like a yappy dog barking), but they stopped. I've heard those noises many times from my flock, it's usually when something doesn't go down quite right. I'm hoping that's all it is.

Thanks. I mean, I wanted to downsize a bit for winter, not only because of coop space when the bad weather starts, but because feed is starting to go through the roof here, but this really wasn't how I wanted to go about downsizing. And by downsizing, I mean like going from 100 birds to 85. What can I say, I'm a minimalist.

Hopefully we are going to finish "downsizing" the rooster pen this (3 DAY THAT NEITHER ME NOR BF HAS TO WORK!!) weekend. Still on the fence about keeping ducks over the winter, again. What an icy pain they are. And delicious.
