Thanks we thought it was perfect she looks like a little bear with her colors and she's pretty tough for a silkie

I took my three incubator peeps out gave them to a 6
month barred rock that thought she wanted t go broody
we had one called chipmunk, a blue again and the little
black one
born of a green egg and my F-1 cockerel

My olive egger (my first chicken ever!) laid her first egg today!! I'm so eggcited!! Her name is Quinn and she's cuckoo marans x ameraucuana.

Here she is at ~3 weeks old in the lightbulb box.

Thanks for the welcome! I've been reading the forums here and agonizing for months about whether my chicks were pullets or cockerels. So I'm happy and relieved that she is a SHE and laying eggs

. I was also prepared to wait quite a while for eggs, so I was so surprised to find it this morning!

All the chickens are well but the last storm collapsed my roof on my run so we had to rebuild in a day so the chickens could come out again... oddly enough it looks better

in Washington we sit in a more sheltered part thankfully
