Haha...she is not supposed to lay a green egg..... genetically speaking. No pea comb.....sceince does not know everything LOL.

I just use it as a guide. I know it happens both ways, just not often. I think they say it is something like 3% with straight combs will lay a color egg.... I think it is much higher than that.
I'm glad to hear that! I am waiting on 6 olive eggers to start laying. One did just start, but I don't know which, and her egg is a nice green. Two of them have straight combs though, so now I have hope that they might lay olive regardless.
I'll have to post photos eventually, but I can't do that on this machine.
