x2 and no pea comb so PROBABLY not going to carry blue eggs genes.
I agree most likely he does not carry the blue egg shell gene. He has a 3 to 5% chance of inheriting the blue egg shell gene from the hen while having a single comb.

Once again this is why i only use blue egg layers. Plus the the the green layers eggs ate already deluted with a lighter brown egg.

Wheaten is recessive and so they SHOULD breed like Blue Black and Splash. So black x blue should give you 50/50 of each color. UNLESS your BCM roo carries Wheaten genes, then you would get some wheaten chicks.

Another reason I like to use PURE Ameraucanas so they are more likely to have 2 copies of the pea comb and blue egg genes.
