I agree most likely he does not carry the blue egg shell gene. He has a 3 to 5% chance of inheriting the blue egg shell gene from the hen while having a single comb.x2 and no pea comb so PROBABLY not going to carry blue eggs genes.
Once again this is why i only use blue egg layers. Plus the the the green layers eggs ate already deluted with a lighter brown egg.
