Howdy olive eggers. Ive recently hatched blue isbars, crested cream legbars, cuckoo, wheaten, and black copper Marans chicks. Not sure their sexes yet (except for the ccl).This is a looong thread to catch up on. Have any of u used any of these combinations?

Wheaten marans x CCL will make OEs. Someone has crossed isbars X Marans too.

Are you going to make some OEs next season?

hi ron. Nice seeing u here. I dont really have a breeding plan laid out yet. I will be getting another batch of legbars, isbars, and Marans eggs soon. I do love the look of the dark olive eggs so i will probably give it a go at some point

I will be crossing my Legbar/Ameraucana rooster with Wheaten and Black Copper Marans hens next spring. I don't like the look of the Cream Legbars, so I decided to go with a cross. He's going to be gorgeous though! He just started breeding last week. I probably won't have another broody until spring, so well see how the hatches go. They should produce some nice olives.

These are my 2 Olive Egger pullets. Im not positive on the cross but believe they are a mix of Marans and Ameraucana.

She looks like she should be a olive egger. Be sure to post a photo of the eggs when you finally get them.

I just have to show off my pullet that Labelle, my GL Polish, hatched out. She is such a good momma, and she still has eggs expected to hatch out tomorrow. The chick is a cross between and OE and an EE, and I'm excited to see what color she will lay.

I have black copper, blue copper, and splash copper Marans pullets in with a splash Isbar cockerel. There's a lone crested cream legbar at POL that will go in with the BCM cock's bunch...sexlinked olive eggers from her! Test eggs in the incubator now from the Isbar over Marans pullets.

So I am new to all this and I have acquired some lovely 4F OE....Black Copper Marans x Cream legbar. If I were to breed back to CL rather than to BCM...the eggs would get lighter, right? Also would they be autosexed or sexlink?
