? Will an isbar rooster crossed with a maran hen result in olive eggers? Also the other hens are comets, buff orpintons and Javas would these end up being Easter eggers? I'm pretty sure this would be the case but I'm just checking. Thanks so much!!

OK. I wasn't sure found some eggs local I could hatch. And thought maybe I got lucky. Would the is bars crossed with the other brown layers create a unique colored egg? I've read that the is bars egg color is due to the color of the blume. Is this correct? If so is it worth hatching them to see if maybe there could be some pretty colored egg layers from them?It gets to be a bit more complicated when you are not using Ameraucana(Standard of Perfection type). isbars and cream legbars are not EEs so they would be isbar crosses.
isbar x marans will make OEs but some of them will lay brown eggs if the isbar is not double blue for egg shell gene.
The egg shell is either blue or white. That is determined by two genes. Blue is dominant so it only takes one white to make the shell blue. White is two recessives.OK. I have heard of a person that does genetic testing but they may have stopped.Ok, I am new to this but how do you know if your Isbars are double blue for eggshell jean?
Yes I amI am going to have OEs from Arkansas blues x Partridge Penedesencas. The green should be darker with that cross.
