The Olive-Egger thread!

Has anyone crossed an Ameracuna with a welsummer? I think those would be some pretty cool olive eggs. I love the spots on the welsummer eggs and think it'd be BEAUTIFUL to mix the two!! Just curious.
I've crossed my Welsummer hens with my pure Ameraucana roo, and am getting nice dark olive eggs with speckles. I think they are very pretty. I'll try to get some photos.

Yes I meant BLUE Cuckoo, I don't have Golden Cuckoo...... So I thought autosexing would breed true? or is that cross a Sexlinked cross?
well Blue Cuckoo are already autosexing, but they are as difficult to sex as barred rock, I just cant sex the BR chicks at hatch, some are easy to hatch some dont, boys have larger headspots, but hens also carry a headspot...

so my friend Deann just got here first 2 eggs from her
Cream Legbar x Crele Penedesenca crosses and the are a very nice rich Olive color.
The Dark Terra Cotta of the pene seems to give them almost a glow. They where speckled as well.

We need photos!!!

will try and get some from her

What about khaki or grey colored eggs? Would that come from olive eggers? My SIL has a hen that lays grey colored eggs and she got it from a friend and they moved away so no way to find out what it is. My SIL doesn't even know what chicken it is coming from.

I got my first egg from my barnyard banty, and she surprised the heck outta me with the color! She was hatched from this egg

and laid this egg

(the one on the right, the left is from my black cochin bantam)

Perfectly beautiful and sweet at 1.3oz. What colour would you say it is? It's definitely green, but it looks darker than all the other ones i've hatched. (I hatched her egg from a batch given to me by a farmer to eat LOL! He doesn't know he has illegitimate chicken children wandering all over my backyard!) Could it be considered "olive"?????? Whatever colour it is, I couldn't be happier.
