The Olive-Egger thread!

After reading this thread forever...I finally got some Olive eggers. Suppose to be 2nd generation Crele Penedesenca X Creme Legbar. Anybody with experience have an idea on the sex of these? They are 2 weeks old. I am leaning towards the top 2 as the group of Cockerels and the bottom 2 as Pullets.
The middle one is the oddball, it has feathers on the feet and its quite a bit bigger than the rest.

are all these different? top 3 photos look like rooster chicks ( see the barring coming in) bottom 2 pullets. the roosters chicks would of been lighter color and hen chicks chipmunk looking at hatch.

No- the top 2 photos are the same group and the bottom 2 are the same group. I seperated them into groups (Male/female) for the photo.

Thanks for the info.

ok then top group roo's and bottom hens. I say the middle is a rooster but penedesenca do not have feathered legs I am not sure if anything in the legbar background does. wonder if that one is something else then?
color looks like a crele penedesenca rooster chick though.

Maybe wheaten Maran? No feathered feet with CCLs(Crested Cream Legbars).

You may have some OEs that have at one time been bread back to Marans to darken the color.

what shall I get you all think?

I have a Blue Ameraucana ( she seems to be laying a true green egg and not so blue)
she is in with my white empordanesa rooster. Emp's are dark brown egg layers ( white penedesenca basically)
wondering what the offspring will look like.
I believe Emp's are dominant white
