The Olive-Egger thread!

I like meyer hatchery some people aren't to fond of them online.I ordered and picked mine up at there facility in Polk, Ohio took me about an 1.5 Jr drive from a suburb of toledo but it was worth it.They added the olive Eggers last year to there site and it looks like you had great results too.The birds I got weren't olive Eggers but I do have some I bred and hatched as an experimental thing with a americana roo I use to have.Kept some chicks turned out to be all hens and sold some. The cross worked with every chick I kept prolly did with the extras I sold too. They got a deal over meyer though $2.00 a chick vs $10.00 for an olive egger. It was a fun experience and I like my olive Eggers alot.

EUREKA!!!!!!!! Just now....

More khaki than olive, but NOW I'm happy! Blue egg is CCLB. Now I will wait for second OE. The pale green must have been later season EE. Whew!

I picked up a second hand OE and she lays a nice large egg. I was hoping they would be a little darker but they are still pretty.

Here are some next to actual green olives!
